Violation of Child Rights: Sexual Abuse Saadet Gonca Mavi Aydoğdu, Ülkü Özsoy Amasya University School of Health, Department of Midwifery, Amasya The child exploits comparable sex by being forced or convicted by an adult to meet her sexual needs and desires. It is an important question that affects the individual, the family and the society as a whole. According to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, there is also a violation of rights. For years, abuse has been a frequent, persistent and often hidden phenomenon for many years. The presence of a mental or physical disability or the presence of a psychiatric disorder increases the risk of abuse. Sexual abuse cases, relatives of the victim of the incident are graded to transfer to the official authorities. For this reason, it is necessary to carefully evaluate the physical and psychological findings of the children in the routine examination of sexual abuse. It can be implemented by multidisciplinary experts of child abuse identification and monitoring of these cases! In order to prevent and protect sexual abuse against children, it is considered to be effective to educate children, families and teachers and to raise social consciousness level at an early age. Çocuk Hakları İhlali: Cinsel İstismar Saadet Gonca Mavi Aydoğdu, Ülkü Özsoy Amasya Üniversitesi Sağlık Yüksekokulu, Ebelik Bölümü, Amasya Çocuğun bir yetişkin tarafından cinsel gereksinim ve isteklerini karşılamak için zorla ya da ikna edilerek kullanılması cinsel istismardır. Bireyi, ailesini ve toplumu bütünüyle etkileyen önemli bir sorundur. Birleşmiş Milletler Çocuk Hakları Sözleşmesi ile İnsan Hakları Evrensel Bildirisi’ne göre de bir hak ihlalidir. Cinsel istismar sık rastlanan, yıllarca sürebilen ve çoğunlukla da gizli tutulan bir durumdur. Çocuğun mental ve fiziki yönden bir engelinin bulunması ya da psikiyatrik bozukluğunun olması istismar riskini artırır. Cinsel istismar vakalarında, olayın mağdurun yakınları tarafından resmi makamlara aktarılma oranı düşüktür. Bu nedenle çocukların rutin muayeneler sırasında cinsel istismarı düşündürecek fiziksel ve psikolojik bulgular açısından dikkatle değerlendirilmeleri gerekir. Çocuk istismarının belirlenmesi ve bu vakaların izlemlerinin multidisipliner uzmanlar tarafından yapılması uygun olacaktır. Çocuklara karşı cinsel istismarın önlenmesi ve korunabilmesi için başta çocuk, aile ve öğretmenlerin eğitilmesi, erken yaştan itibaren farkındalık eğitimleri verilmesi ve toplumsal bilinç düzeyinin yükseltilmesine yönelik yapılacak çalışmaların etkili olacağı düşünülmektedir.
