Abstract

Early childhood is a period during which the child starts to gain values of the society and behaviors and habits that are appropriate for the cultural structure of that society. Parents may face a number of problems in their first year with their children. The purpose of this review is to discuss the role of psychiatric nurses with important roles in community mental health by addressing behavioral problems seen in early childhood. Parents should be informed about the care and treatment of children is of paramount importance in the prevention of behavioral problems. Psychiatric nurses can contribute to the reduction and prevention of behavioral problems by providing guidance and counseling to inform parents.
