Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the cancer types mostly seen among women. Mastectomy is one of the treatment methods of breast cancer which alter women’s body image. Losing the breast partially or in total is an important procedure for women. Thus makes breast reconstruction procedure essential. Breast reconstruction is the process of regenerating the breast tissue and it can be done by using various methods. The most commonly used reconstruction methods are the ones done with the patient's own tissue. In this article reconstruction with latissimus dorsi and transverse rectus abdominus muscle skin flaps, nursing care of the patient after reconstruction will be discussed.
