Abstract

Today neonatal transport is a service bearing the risk that it is in the World. According to the results of the researches related to neonatal transport, this area provides the best care and service in USA and Australia. In our country, neonatal transport system is not at the desired level because the distribution of health services is not homogeneous. Transport nursing is still not a separate area in our country unlike the countries which own the leading role in neonatal and perinatal transport, as there are still regulatory requirements for perinatal and neonatal transport in our country, as well as the absence of specialist transportation teams in this area. Transport is carried out by a doctor in our country. However, it is known that there are no special vehicles and equipments required for neonatal transportation. It was aimed to draw attention to the neonatal-perinatal transport types, nursing roles in neonatal transport, and neonatal transport in Turkey.
