Abstract

INTRODUCTION

In this study, nurses' perceptions of alopecia caused by chemotherapy and was carried out to determine the attitudes regarding the management of alopecia.

METHODS

Alopecia Management Scale (AYO) were used to determine nurses' perceptions and attitudes of alopecia in this study. The study sample consisted of 75 nurses.

RESULTS

Gender, age, service training status and experience of alopecia (family-environment) according to the difference in perception and attitudes showed. Clauses of the nurses has given the scale of consensus that had the answers.

DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION

In-service training programs for nurses, the creation and preparation of protocols recommended standard of care for alopecia.
