Abstract

Resilience is the ability to become strong, healthy, or successful again after something bad happens in generally and has three characteristics (antecedents, attributes and consequences). Understanding resilience in nursing students is essential due to higher levels of academic and clinical stress when compared to students in other health majors. Nursing students who face the challenges need to improve the resilience to effectively cope with them in academic and occupational area. Nursing faculties are responsible to prepare students to be professional nurses in a healthcare environment. Hence, nursing instructors should do studies about nursing students’ antecedents and attributes and provide individual consultancy service to enhance attributes.
