Abstract

İnfertility treatment is a very abrasive, stressful and long-lasting process for couples. This difficult treatment process causes couples to experience extreme stress and anxiety. Therefore, couples receiving infertility treatment should be evaluated and supported in addition to their medical and emotional and psychosocial status. Nurses are the main health professionals who will communicate with the couples during the treatment process, and nurses have important roles such as training / counseling, researcher, and supporter in the coordination of various stages of treatment and the role of nurses in the care of medical care in ensuring the couple’s commitment to treatment. As a result; The nurses who undertake these important roles will integrate the concept of social support into the infertility treatment process and will ensure that the process is continued successfully.
