Abstract

Terror refers to a state of fearful action that creates an agony in people. Terrorism is a way of adopting organized, systematic and continuous acts of terrorism as a method to change the current situation from illegal ways for political purposes.Terrorist incidents are those that cause intense trauma in individuals. Trauma, mental health; Is defined as the situation in which one knows and uses the balance in daily life and causes a crisis reaction. In addition to being directly exposed to traumatic events, families, relatives, helpers and volunteers and individuals who follow the effects of the incident medically can also be indirectly exposed to trauma. Among people who have witnessed terrorist attacks it has been observed the problems like Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), panic attacks and similar mental problems. Among victims, mental problems like anxiety, fear, anger, guilt, anxiety, helplessness and despair, tension, fatigue, sleeping problems, eating disorders, irregularities in heartbeats and sudden starts, discomfort, insecurity, self-rejection or loneliness are observed. The subject of the study is the discussion of the mental problems experienced by individuals who have been directly or indirectly exposed to terrorist incidents.
