Abstract

INTRODUCTION: One of the most important skills a person learns, can be carried out the toilet training successfully and independently. Toilet training is one of the important developmental tasks of early childhood and also one of the child's behavior, including independence. The toilet training can create a challenging process for families. Each healthy child can gain toilet training without medical treatment. In toilet training, there are many different methods such as the assisted toilet training, the methods require intense discipline, child-orientated approach and experimental approach. Because the level of children’s being ready fluctuates and family dynamics are different, there is no single right recipe. The doctor and nurse who are members of the health care team, should be helpful and directive to the family through this process.
