INTRODUCTION: Prenatal diagnoses are described as the methods that inform both mother-father and health professionals about present genetic and physical characteristics and general health condition of fetus. Thanks to developing technology, the use of prenatal diagnoses tests have increased day by day.
METHODS: The methods of prenatal diagnoses are divided of invasive and non-invasive methods. Non invasive methods are diverted as ultrasonographic and biochemical tests (double, triple, quad tests and serum marker screening in maternal blood) and invasive methods are diverted as amniocentesis, chorion villus sampling (CVS), cordocentesis and coelomic fluid sampling.
RESULTS: During the prenatal diagnosis tests and in the case of possible positive test result, the health professions of perinatology team must care expectant-mother and perform his/her responsibility of consultancy in accordance with the ethical codes that are autonomy, privacy, efficacy, fairness.
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: In this review, the consultancy service that will be given during the prenatal diagnosis tests have been discussed in the light of ethical codes such as autonomy, privacy, efficacy, fairness.

GİRİŞ ve AMAÇ: Prenatal tanı yöntemleri doğacak fetüsün mevcut genetik ve fiziksel özellikleri hakkında hem
anne-baba adayına hem de sağlık personeline bilgi sağlamakta ve sağlık durumu hakkında
bilgi vermek olarak tanımlanırken; gelişen teknoloji ile birlikte prenatal tarama testlerinin
kullanımı her geçen gün artmaktadır.
YÖNTEM ve GEREÇLER: Prenatal dönemde uygulanan tarama yöntemleri ise;
invaziv ve non-invaziv yöntemler olarak 2’ye ayrılmaktadır. Non-invaziv yöntemler:
ultrasonografi ve biyokimyasal testler (2’li, 3’lü, 4’lü tarama testleri ve maternal kanda serum
marker incelemeleri) olarak sıralanırken; invaziv yöntemler: amniyosentez, koryon villus
örneklemesi (CVS), kordosentez ve çölomik sıvı örneklemesi olarak sıralanmaktadır
BULGULAR: Prenatal
tanı testlerinin uygulanması ve test sonuçlarının olası pozitif sonucunda perinatoloji ekibi
içerisinde yer alan sağlık personeli (hekim, hemşire, ebe, psikolog, biyolog, sosyal hizmet
uzmanı, diyetisyen, genetik danışman ve fizyoterapist) etik ilkeler olan özerklik, mahremiyet,
yararlılık, adalet ilkesi çerçevesinde yönlendirme yapmadan anne adayına bakım vermeli,
danışmanlık rollerini yerine getirmelidir.
TARTIŞMA ve SONUÇ: Bu derlemede prenatal tarama testleri sırasında
verilecek danışmanlık hizmeti özerklik, yararlılık, mahremiyet ve adalet ilkesi gibi etik ilkeler
doğrultusunda tartışılmıştır.
