Objective: This research was conducted to determine the attitudes of the students from the Faculty of Health Sciences towards organ transplantation and donation.
Method: This descriptive study was carried out with the students of Faculty of Health Sciences. The study sample consisted of 419 students. "Personal Information Form" and "Students' Attitudes Towards Organ Transplantation and Donation Form" were used to evaluate the students.
Results: It was determined that 50.1% of the students were between 21- 23 and 69.5% were women. It was determined that 95.2% of the students had organ donation and 71.1% thought of making organ donation. The students' attitudes about organ transplantation and donation were found to be statistically significant between the 1st and 4th graders (p = 0.010).There was no significant difference in scale scores on the basis of schools (p = 0.667).
Conclusion: The results of the study showed that there is a significant difference between 1st and 4th graders about organ transplantation and donation, but it still shows that students should be supported with more comprehensive trainings. In this context, it is recommended that training programs of nurses should be restructured. Keywords: organ donation, organ transplant, student

Amaç: Bu araştırma, Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi hemşirelik öğrencilerinin organ nakli ve bağışı konusundaki düşüncelerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirildi.
Yöntem: Bu çalışma tanımlayıcı nitelikte bir araştırma olup Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Hemşirelik öğrencileri ile gerçekleştirildi. Çalışma örneklemini 419 öğrenci oluşturdu. Öğrenciler ‘Kişisel Özellikler Bilgi Formu’ ve ‘Öğrencilerin Organ Nakli ve Bağışına Yönelik Algıları Formu ‘ kullanılarak değerlendirildi.
Bulgular: Öğrencilerin %50,1’inin 21-23 yaş arasında ve %69,5’inin kadın olduğu belirlenmiş olup, %95,2’sinin organ bağışında bulunduğu ve %71,1’inin de organ bağışı yapmayı düşündüğü saptandı. Öğrencilerin organ nakli ve bağışına yönelik algılarının, 1. ve 4. sınıflar arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu bulundu (p=0,010). Okullara göre ölçek puanları arasında fark bulunamadı (p=0,667).
Sonuç: Araştırma sonuçları organ nakli ve bağışı konusunda 1. ve 4. sınıflar arasında anlamlı fark olduğunu göstersede, öğrencilerin bu konuda daha kapsamlı eğitimlerle desteklenmeleri gerektiği görülmektedir.
