Objective: The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between student nurses’ professional values and communication skills with cooperation processes.
Methods: This descriptive and correlational study was conducted with 511 students who registered undergraduate nursing degree programs in 54 different universities and a member of a professional association in Turkey. Data were collected by using the Introductory Information Form, Nursing Professional Values Scale (NPVS), Communication Skills Inventory (CSI) and Cooperative Learning Process Scale (CLPS) and were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and correlation analysis in SPSS 22.0 program.
Results: Of the students 79.1% were female and the mean age was 20.91 ± 1.98. Of the students 79.3% stated that they had a positive view of the profession, and 56.4% stated that they could choose the same profession again if possible. 66.7% of the students stated that they were extroverted in communication with the environment, and 74.6% had a positive perspective on group work. The total and subscale mean scores of the NPVS, CSI, and CLPS were above the average. At the same time, it was found that there was a statistically significant strong positive relationship between the professional values and communication skills of the student nurses and the cooperation processes (p<0.05).
Conclusion: In conclusion, it has been determined that student nurses have high professional values and their communication skills, especially mental and behavioral and cooperation processes are good level (above average). In addition, the professional values and communication skills of student nurses affect their cooperation processes. Keywords: Communication skills, cooperation, professional value, student nurse

Amaç: Öğrenci hemşirelerin mesleki değerleri ve iletişim becerileri ile iş birliği yapabilme süreçleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir.
Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı olarak tasarlanan bu çalışma, Türkiye’de 54 farklı üniversitede hemşirelik lisans programına kayıtlı olan ve mesleki bir derneğe üye olan 511 öğrenci hemşire ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler, Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu, Hemşirelikte Mesleki Değerler Ölçeği (HMDÖ), İletişim Becerileri Envanteri (İBE) ve İş Birliği Süreci Ölçeği (İSÖ) ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 22.0 programında tanımlayıcı istatistikler ve korelasyon analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir.
Bulgular: Elde edilen bulgulara göre, araştırmaya katılan öğrenci hemşirelerin %79,1’i kadın ve yaş ortalaması 20,91±1,98’dir. Öğrencilerin, %79,3’ü mesleğe karşı olumlu bakış açısına sahip olduğunu ve %56,4’ü de imkân olsa aynı mesleği tekrar seçebileceğini ifade etmiştir. %66,7’si çevre ile iletişimde kendisini dışa dönük biri olarak tanımlayan ve %74,6’sı grup çalışmalarına olumlu bakış açısına sahip olduğunu belirten öğrencilerin, HMDÖ, İBE ve İSÖ toplam ve alt ölçek puan ortalamaları ortalamanın üzerinde bulunmuştur. Aynı zamanda öğrenci hemşirelerin mesleki değerleri ve iletişim becerileri ile iş birliği yapabilme süreçleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı pozitif yönde güçlü bir ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır (p<0,05).
Sonuç: Araştırma sonucunda, öğrenci hemşirelerin yüksek düzeyde mesleki değerlere sahip olduğu, özellikle zihinsel ve davranışsal olmak üzere iletişim becerilerinin ve iş birliği yapabilme süreçlerinin iyi düzeyde (ortalamanın üzerinde) olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca öğrenci hemşirelerin mesleki değerleri ve iletişim becerileri, iş birliği yapabilme süreçlerini etkilemektedir. Anahtar Kelimeler: İletişim becerisi, iş birliği, mesleki değer, öğrenci hemşire
